One Minute World: Your Voice
People are interesting: they have interesting stories to tell on topics they care deeply about. That’s the ethos behind the One Minute Wonder series on Vimeo and YouTube. It’s also why the Frome International Climate Change Festival was set up.
As an aspiring content creator looking for work in Wiltshire, you want to show that you can find those stories in your area and present them to an audience in an engaging way. Your client has set you the challenge of producing a one-minute piece about a person living or working in Wiltshire to show off your skills.
That person will have an active interest in environmental issues, such as sustainability or the natural world.
Three of the films made will win a cash prize from the Frome Climate Change Festival’s founder, James Godman, who will act as your client.
The Climate Film Festival is now collaborating with Saint Charles College in Argentina.
'On behalf of our school community, we would like to sincerely thank you for the wonderful opportunity to connect with you and for the inspiring words you shared with our Junior 4 students. It was a unique and enriching experience for them to learn, interact, and feel motivated by your encouragement. We are truly honoured to have received the certificate:
“Frome International Climate Film Festival AWARD – Membership of the Global Film Family for Climate and the Environment.”
This recognition means a lot to us, as it strengthens our commitment to creativity, collaboration, and raising awareness about the environment through education. We deeply appreciate your generosity and support, and we hope to continue building bridges that inspire our students to imagine, create, and take action for a better world.
Regards, Daniela Maset English Head EPSaint Charles College

Film Title: URBAN PERSISTENCE
Deep within Vienna’s Central Cemetery, an unlikely survivor thrives. The European hamster. Between gravestones and meadows, a male embarks on a journey of instinct and perseverance. With the mating season around the corner, he must be in peak condition. But in this urban landscape, survival isn’t about evading predators. It’s about overcoming unexpected obstacles, from territorial rivals to the unforgiving elements.
Urban Persistence captures the delicate balance between life and death in an unusual setting, following a hamster’s relentless pursuit to ensure the next generation endures..

Film Title: #CLIMATESCAM?
Why are climate conspiracy theories so popular? Who or what is behind them? And do any of them actually hold a grain of truth? 2024 was, globally, the hottest year ever recorded, with an unprecedented number of climate-related disasters - but also a year that saw the election of a large number of climate-sceptic governments.

Film Title: DOWNSTREAM
Glacier loss is one of the most visible impacts of climate change on the outdoor industry, with clear consequences for alpinism and winter sports. But what about the broader implications for our planet and society?
"DOWNSTREAM" is a joint science and film project that explores these far-reaching effects. The film follows Dr Juliette Becquet, a French Hydro-Ecologist who grew up in the shadow of Chamonix's retreating glaciers. She embarks on a global journey, from the vineyards of Switzerland to the slalom culture of Native American tribes, learning how glacier loss touches all of us—because we all live downstream.
The story expands to New Zealand, where Juliette investigates how forward-thinking businesses address these challenges. The film explores regenerative agriculture’s potential to mitigate climate change and offer resilience in the face of glacier loss.
