I am an artist experimenting with fibre textiles, photography and abstract acrylics. I live and work in Frome, Somerset. My work is multidisciplinary, using various techniques and materials in unique ways to express the concepts I am currently exploring.

Currently I am researching and experimenting with the concepts of grids and folds. Grids are, for me, the expression of abstraction. This focus is influenced by several artists including Mark Rothko, Annie Albers and Agnes Martin.

I am interested in the viewer being able to immerse themselves in the ambience of the piece, providing the opportunity for absorbing and experiencing form and colour in a meditative way.

The idea of folds comes from the influence on my work of my background as a therapist and interest in psychoanalytic concepts being expressed in art forms. Folds are never binary, and  represent the potential for continuous vistas disappearing and then reappearing.
